From the nostalgia of Roy Cross illustrations  on Airfix boxes, to Vaughan Oliver's visceral 4AD record sleeves, to Banksy these visuals shape our world and stay with us.
Making something that not only works on a practical level but also connects with people on a more human level is a great thing to be able to do and is why a typeface on a shop door, a pack on a supermarket shelf or a foreign stamp on an envelope can stop me in my tracks.
My name is Mark Bishop and I'm a designer based in the beautiful Wiltshire countryside. I've spent roughly half my career in design and marketing agencies or freelancing and half in-house and have been lucky enough to work with some truly inspiring and talented people.
I have particular experience of marketing communications for the education sector, where I was the creative in an in-house marketing team for one of the UK’s leading outdoor educational play equipment companies. I worked closely with the Head of Marketing to deliver an effective marketing strategy across a variety of communications from brochures, direct mail and print advertising to e-shots, website design, exhibition stands, vehicle livery, video and animation.
Listening to what clients have to say, putting myself in the place of the intended audience and always trying to see if there is another approach. It's not rocket science but it's not a bad place to start either.
If you think I might be able to help you with a project, drop me an email.
